Emergency roof repair in Austin
Water coming in? Call now. We'll stop the leak with a tarp or temporary patch, then come back to fix it properly. Active leaks go to the front of the line.
Six things to do right now
1. Catch the water
Bucket under the drip, towels around it. Move furniture, rugs, and electronics out of the way.
2. Drain a bulging ceiling
If the drywall is sagging with water, poke a small hole at the lowest point over a bucket. A controlled drain beats a collapsed ceiling.
3. Cut power near the leak
Water near a light fixture, fan, or outlet? Switch off that room's breaker and leave it off.
4. Stay off the roof
Wet shingles and metal are slick, and storm-damaged decking can give way. Leave the climbing to us.
5. Take photos
Ceiling stains, wet floors, anything you can see from the ground. Note the date and time — it helps if you file a claim.
6. Call us
Tell us what you're seeing and we'll tell you honestly how soon we can be there.

Will insurance cover an emergency repair?
Storm damage: usually yes
Hail, wind, and fallen limbs are sudden events most Texas policies cover, minus your deductible.

Is a small roof leak really an emergency?
If water is reaching your ceiling, treat it as one. A slow drip means the decking and insulation above it are already wet, and every hour adds drywall damage and mold risk. A temporary dry-in now is far cheaper than the interior repairs later.
Should I call my roofer or my insurance company first?
Stop the water first. Your policy expects you to take reasonable steps to prevent more damage, so getting the roof covered comes before anything else. Once it's dry, we inspect and tell you whether the damage is worth a claim — then you decide whether to call your insurer.
Can you work on my roof while it's still raining?
Often, yes — a tarp or temporary patch can go on in light rain once it's safe to be up there. We don't put a crew on a roof in lightning, high wind, or on a steep wet slope in the dark. If we have to wait, we'll tell you how to limit the damage inside until we can get up.
How long can a tarp stay on my roof?
Think weeks, not months. A properly secured tarp will hold through the normal wait for an adjuster visit and a repair date, but sun and wind wear it down. It is a stopgap, not a fix.
What does emergency roof repair cost?
It depends on the size of the opening and how the roof is built, so we price it on-site before any work starts. A temporary dry-in is a small fraction of the permanent repair, and when a storm caused the damage it is usually part of your insurance claim — keep the receipt.
Do you handle emergency leaks on commercial roofs?
Yes. Flat and low-slope roofs — TPO, PVC, modified bitumen — leak differently from shingle roofs, and the water often shows up far from where it got in. We trace the source, make a temporary seal, and schedule the permanent membrane repair.
